IS THIS A HAUNTED HOUSE?

I mean, you would probably call it that. But are there monsters chasing you with chainsaws and butchers cutting people in half and teenagers wearing Freddy Krueger masks? Nope. This is a more sublime horror experience.  This is highly theatrical.  There are characters and there’s a story, and you are an important character in that story.  As creative enterprises go, there are haunted houses and then there are immersive theatrical horror experiences.  We think the latter is scarier.

OKAY, SO IS IT SCARY?

YES.  We’d like for you to be thinking about this for the rest of your life, not just for the second someone pops out at you. strobe lighting and loud sounds will be used in each room, that may disruptive to people who are sensitive to light and sound.

DO WE GO IN ALONE?

No, you go in as a group of 6 maximum, but could be less. If you have a group larger than 6 people we will divide you up so they are right on your heels.  But there is absolutely no getting around the 6 people in a group. It is technically impossible. No sweet talk will make the impossible possible.

WHAT PHYSICAL RESTRICTIONS ARE THERE, IF ANY?

There are not many.  If there is anything you can’t do, you can go around.  There are a few steps up and down.  You will have to crouch down at one point, but it’s nothing you can’t handle.

ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?

Anyone 16 or younger requires a guardian, 12-15 with a chaperone. It is not recommended to anyone under 12. Parents know there children so there may be some wiggle room around that, but this is what we highly recommend.

WILL I BE TOUCHED? HOW INTERACTIVE IS THIS?

That’s not really the thing here. There may be some incidental or accidental touching, but nothing designed as such.  You will, however, be asked to participate in small ways. We encourage everyone to do everything, but no one is going to make you do anything.  It just makes the experience better.

CAN I CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE?

You can cancel up to 24 hours before with a fee.  Same thing with rescheduling.  You can actually do it through the ticketing portal you buy the tickets through. Anything within 24 hours, there are absolutely no cancellations.  You will not be reimbursed.  We know this sounds like a hardcore policy, but this has a finite audience and we predict it will be a very popular event.  If you want to cancel and we can’t resell it because people thought that show was already sold out, you not only didn’t make us money, you have now lost us money.  So we won’t execute a refund withing 24 hours point blank. Be sure about the time you are selecting.

WHEN DO I SHOW UP?

Ideally you show up 10 minutes before your showtime on the day you purchased them for. Any more than 30 minutes after your show start time and you will not be allowed in.  Nor will you receive a refund.  You will have an hour slot, but you could go anytime during that hour depending on when you get there. if your start time is 8 pm, for example, you would go sometime between 8 and 8:59. You should, however, plan on being there for an hour later than that on prime nights.  The time slots make it so that it is not interminable, but when it gets busy it’s hard not to fall behind.

HOW LONG IS THE SHOW?

From start to finish approximately 15 – 2o minutes, depends on how fast you walk/run through it.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

Be casual. You will be walking a fair amount, so wear comfortable shoes.  Don’t wear your expensive going out clothes because…why?

DO YOU HAVE TICKETS YOU COULD MAIL US?

No, we only e-mail you your ticket confirmation.  Please bring it with you to the box office.

IS THERE PARKING AT THE VENUE?

There are several nearby parking decks, and NYC street parking, but parking is not great.
